Leicester 4 – 0 Braga

first_imgHe turned provider with a wonderfully disguised pass from a shooting position to tee up Dennis Praet midway through the half (67) before James Maddison got on the scoresheet after evading Raul Silva’s challenge with 12 minutes remaining. The victory moves Leicester three points clear at the top of their Europa League group, ahead of their visitors, with three wins from three games – and already on the verge of qualifying for the knockout stages. How Leicester outfoxed BragaIf there were any worries remaining about how seriously the Foxes are taking the Europa League this season, Brendan Rodgers’ decision to retain seven of the line-up who won at Leeds only 72 hours prior would have extinguished that doubt.- Advertisement – That was about as good as it got for Braga after the break, as Leicester continued to improve and added a third when Iheanacho, looking likely to shoot from another lovely Maddison ball, instead rolled it through for Praet to slot home moments after coming on.The Foxes summed up their nickname even with such a convincing advantage, harrying and pressing their opponents into mistake after mistake, and saw Maddison score the goal his performance deserved 12 minutes from time when he fired past Matheus in the final chance of note. What’s next?Leicester host Wolves on Super Sunday live on Sky Sports Premier League from 1pm; Kick-off at 2pm.Braga face a tough trip to second-placed Benfica on Sunday night in the Primeira Liga; Kick-off at 8pm. In a reversal of roles, Iheanacho’s run and perfect pass found the dangerman just outside the box, and after turning inside Viana with an exquisite touch, pulled a superb full-length stop out of Matheus with his bottom-corner-bound effort.Moments like that can prove pivotal in games, but two minutes into the second period the Foxes put aside any worries with another stroke of good luck, when Viana’s unwitting deflection on Iheanacho’s long-range effort took it into the far corner beyond the stranded goalkeeper.Braga had momentary hopes of a comeback when Joao Novais poked the ball through for Paulinho, who planted the ball wide from a fine position on the left of Schmeichel’s box. Kelechi Iheanacho scored twice as Leicester thrashed Braga 4-0 to keep up their perfect start in the Europa League group stage.A touch of fortune helped Iheanacho bundled in an opener 20 minutes when Matheus could not hold his heavy touch and allowed him to tap in from close-range, with a significant deflection off Bruno Viana helping his 25-yard drive beat the goalkeeper again two minutes into the second period.- Advertisement – Against another side with a 100 per cent record from their opening two games, the hosts would have impressed their manager with how they were straight into their stride, but both teams routinely saw their back threes turn into fives without the ball, restricting a route to goal at either end.It took a nicely disguised ball from Maddison to carve out the first real chance of the night, which would give Leicester the lead. Iheanacho’s heavy touch looked to have turned his pass into Matheus’ body, but a touch of fortune saw it rebound off the goalkeeper and deliver the striker a tap-in. Ulta Beauty strikes deal to open hundreds of shops at Target stores

first_imgAt Ulta, Dillon said sales have reflected “a desire to take care of ourselves more at home,” as customers buy items like facial masks and supplies for do-it-yourself nails or hair care.Cornell said Target’s deal with Ulta will “build on momentum we have in the category and investments we’ve been making for years in beauty.”“This is a very important category,” he said. “We continue to believe it’s going to be a high-growth category.”Target and Ulta’s partnership is not the first of its kind. J.C. Penney and Sephora struck a similar agreement in 2009 to add a makeup and beauty shop concept at the department stores. However, the long-struggling department store has lost market share as Target has gained it. Penney filed for bankruptcy protection in May.At Ulta Beauty at Target, Dillon said customers will find a “curated assortment of established and emerging prestige beauty brands.” Shoppers will also see a pandemic-inspired addition: a virtual tool from Ulta called GlamLab that allows customers to safely try on makeup digitally, instead of sharing samples of lipstick and eye shadow palettes with others.Cornell and Dillon said the companies are working together to identify the stores that will get the shops first and said their beauty merchants will help choose the featured brands and products.“It will be showstopping,” Dillon said. “Target guests will not miss it. They will see that something new is happening, and I think they’ll want to jump in and participate.” Target has struck a deal with Ulta Beauty to open shops with makeup, skincare, hair products and more inside of hundreds of its stores.Source: Ulta Beauty – Advertisement – Instead of a shared tube of lipstick, shoppers can use Ulta’s digital tool called GLAMLab to safely try a makeup item. – Advertisement –center_img Ulta shares were up more than 7% early Tuesday in premarket trading, after the companies announced the news. Target shares were up nearly 2%.Cornell and Ulta CEO Mary Dillon said in an interview with CNBC that they see the strategic partnership as a long-term deal that will catch customers’ attention and drive higher sales. They declined to share the length or financial terms of the agreement, but said they will expand Ulta Beauty at Target to hundreds of additional stores over time.As the coronavirus pandemic shakes up the retail industry and shopping behaviors, Dillon said the two retailers are “embracing a time of change to innovate and to lead.”- Advertisement – With the deal, Target will gain a unique traffic driver in a fast-growing merchandise category, while Ulta will gain visibility on store shelves and on a website that has expanded its reach during the pandemic. Both companies will gain a larger audience. Together, they have more than 100 million active loyalty program members across Target Circle and Ultamate Rewards — with more than 33 million of those coming from Ulta.Target has been able to keep its nearly 1,900 stores open throughout the global health crisis as an essential retailer, selling everything from groceries to throw pillows. The retailer’s profits jumped by about 80% in the second quarter compared with the same period a year earlier. Its curbside pickup service, Drive Up, grew more than 700% during the three-month period. And the company said it attracted 10 million new digital customers and picked up $5 billion in market share in the first half of the year.As many retail competitors have struggled, Target has had strength — even in discretionary categories. Its beauty sales grew by more than 20% in the second quarter.Ulta, on the other hand, was hit hard by store closures. The beauty retailer’s same-store sales dropped by 26.7% in the second quarter year-over-year, but have gradually improved. Comparable sales, which is made up of sales at stores open at least 14 months and its e-commerce sales, were down 37% in early May, but recovered slightly and were down by 10% in July when most of its 1,264 stores were reopened.Beauty sales have been rocky across the industry during the pandemic. Americans have fewer social outings and are working remotely instead of dressing up for the office. About 70% of consumers scaled back their use of makeup this year, according to The NPD Group. However, some categories like skincare and hand soaps have gained popularity as shoppers focus on relaxation and self-care, the firm found. Hair product sales, for example, rose by 11% in the third quarter, as customers bought hair masks and hair color.“We are seeing two stories unfold for beauty – one of stagnation and the other of recovery,” said Larissa Jensen, beauty industry advisor of The NPD Group in a report. Target and Ulta Beauty said Tuesday that they have struck a deal to open makeup and skincare shops inside of hundreds of Target stores across the country.Starting in the second half of next year, Target CEO Brian Cornell said shoppers will find a smaller version of an Ulta store in more than 100 of Target’s stores and on its website. Each “shop-in-shop” will be about 1,000 square feet with more than 40 beauty brands and a rotating assortment of products from hair care and fragrances to lip gloss. Customers can shop in person or use Target’s same-day services, such as curbside pickup or home delivery by Shipt, to get their online beauty purchases.Ulta will train Target employees as beauty consultants.- Advertisement –last_img read more

When the EP called Adams, he acknowledged that she had previously requested to be informed about casting news in person after learning Crawley, 39, nabbed the role. She felt that her life had been “uprooted” during that time since potential leads “can’t really make plans” while waiting to hear what is next.“It kind of messed with me quite a bit, actually,” she admitted. “I told them, ‘That’s not fair to me. I know there’s other girls in the conversation, but I was fine. I was fine. And next time you do it, you better come to my house and tell me in person because at this point, I don’t want a phone call. I’m done.’”- Advertisement – The “Click Bait” cohost recently told Us Weekly that she was happy she didn’t speak with Crawley before becoming the Bachelorette. “Even if I did have the opportunity, I don’t know if I would have asked [anything],” she told Us on Monday, November 9. “This is the thing: I have learned that you have to give everybody a chance and you never know what that’s going to look like. Netherlands 1 – 1 Spain

first_imgIt was a fourth match in charge without a win for Netherlands coach Frank de Boer, whose record is now a loss and three draws. The Netherlands were missing captain Virgil van Dijk, who is sidelined for months with a serious knee injury, and quickly also lost Manchester City defender Nathan Ake, who limped off with an apparent hamstring injury in the sixth minute. Georginio Wijnaldum, on his 30th birthday, was captain in the absence of his Liverpool team-mate.Spain had taken the lead in the 19th minute when Sergio Canales scored his first international goal. – Advertisement – Alvaro Morata, who has scored three goals in his last three matches with Juventus, turned provider for Spain’s opener. He turned away from Frenkie de Jong and Daley Blind before passing to Canales, who had time and room to calmly slide a low, left-foot shot past Marco Bizot, who was making his debut in the Dutch goal at age 29.Spain were more urgent in the first half, pressing the makeshift Dutch defence high up the pitch and not letting De Boer’s team settle into its passing game. The closest the Dutch came to scoring before the break was a shot by Sevilla forward Luuk de Jong straight at Simon. The hosts’ intensity picked up after the break and was rewarded immediately when a cross by Owen Wijndal bounced through the penalty area to Van de Beek, who fired a low shot past Simon for his second international goal. – Advertisement – Donny van de Beek put his Manchester United troubles behind him to score the equaliser as the Netherlands came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Spain in a friendly at the Johan Cruyff Arena on Wednesday.Van de Beek has struggled to establish himself as a first-team player in Manchester but felt right at home back at the stadium where he rose to prominence with Ajax as he drilled a low shot past Unai Simon in the 47th minute.- Advertisement – Nathan Ake had to go off after picking up an injury during Wednesday night's friendlyImage:Nathan Ake had to go off after picking up an injury during Wednesday night’s friendly The game then opened up with both sides coming close to a winner.Koke lobbed just over the bar in the 60th minute and Memphis Depay, with time and space in Spain’s penalty area, shot too close to Simon, allowing the keeper to make a sharp save to his left. De Jong also had a good late chance, but could not find room for a shot after a good cross by Denzel Dumfries.Sergio Ramos came on as an 85th-minute substitute for his 176th international, drawing level with former Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon as the European with the most caps. iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12 mini Pass Flame, Scratch, Bend Tests With Ease

first_imgiPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 mini passed flame, scratch, and bend tests with flying colours. Youtuber JerryRigEverything got his hands on an early unit of both iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 mini and conducted his customary range of durability tests. The two phones aced all the tests with ease. Particularly noteworthy was the flame test, wherein the two iPhones showed no signs of damage even after 50 seconds of being exposed to a small blaze from a lighter.JerryRigEverything published a video wherein he carries out his usual scratch, bend, and flame tests on iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 mini. In his scratch test, it was discovered that the two phones do get scratched at level 6 on Mohs scale, with deeper grooves at level 7. However, these scratches are much less prominent than usual. Apple has put in its new ceramic shield on the display for added protection. It is essentially a special form of glass that has ceramic crystals embedded into the glass matrix. The company claims that this has improved the iPhone’s shatter resistance.- Advertisement – – Advertisement – iPhone 12 mini was discovered to have an aluminium frame, whereas iPhone 12 Pro Max has a stainless steel frame. The two phones were exposed to a lighter flame for about 50 seconds each, and both managed to survive without any damage to the pixels. This was rather impressive and Zack Nelson of JerryRigEverything suggested that the ceramic crystals could be acting as an insulation layer as well. Both iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 mini also survived the bend test without much fuss, and structurally the phones seemed to be of solid quality. iPhone 12 mini is sold in India starting at Rs. 69,900, whereas iPhone 12 Pro Max pricing starts at Rs. 1,29,900.
